Morellino di Scansano

Morellino di Scansano is a DOCG wine, a typical production of the province of Grosseto. It was already DOC in 1978, and the higher degree of acknowledgement of the product was added after the wine harvest of 2007.

It is noted for its red ruby – pomegranate colour and it is recognizable thanks to its winy smell which becomes perfumed, intense, ethereal, fine and pleasant with ageing.

Without forgetting the taste which is slightly dry, warm, stern and a little tannic.

Morellino di Scansano is excellent when accompanying meat dishes in particular meat casserole, meat skewers, fried pigs liver, roast pork and wild boar cooked in sauce.
